1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information from Merchants

When you install FitCheck on your Shopify store, we collect:

Store name, email address, and contact information
Shopify store URL and store ID
Product information including names, descriptions, dimensions, and images
Order information including customer names, phone numbers, and order details
Billing information for subscription management

1.2 Information from End Customers

When end customers interact with FitCheck through WhatsApp, we collect:

Phone numbers (provided via Shopify checkout)
Customer names and order information
Room photos submitted via WhatsApp for fit analysis
WhatsApp conversation data related to fit verification

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain technical information including:

IP addresses and device information
Browser type and operating system
Usage data and analytics about how you interact with our Service

1.4 Shopify API Data Access

FitCheck accesses store, product, order, and limited customer contact data via Shopify APIs strictly as required to provide furniture fit verification and WhatsApp messaging functionality. We do not access or process payment card information. This includes:

Store information (store name, email, domain)
Product data (titles, images, dimensions, variants)
Order data (order ID, line items, customer name and phone number)
Customer contact information (name and phone number) strictly for fit verification and WhatsApp messaging
Order tags and fulfillment status updates

1.5 WhatsApp User Consent

End customers receive WhatsApp messages only after providing explicit opt-in consent through the merchant’s Shopify checkout or post-purchase flow. Messages are strictly transactional and related to furniture fit verification for their order. We do not send unsolicited marketing messages via WhatsApp.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To provide and operate the FitCheck Service
To analyze room photos using AI and determine furniture fit
To send WhatsApp messages to end customers on behalf of merchants
To update order tags and status in Shopify
To process billing and manage subscriptions

We do not sell, rent, or use merchant or customer data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the FitCheck Service.

WhatsApp data, including phone numbers, messages, and images, is used solely to provide the FitCheck service and is not used for advertising, profiling, or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service:

WhatsApp Business API (Meta Platforms) for messaging services
Cloud hosting providers for data storage and processing
AI and machine learning services for image analysis. Room photos are analyzed solely to determine furniture fit within a space. We do not use facial recognition, biometric identification, or analyze sensitive personal characteristics from images.

3.2 Shopify

We integrate with Shopify and share necessary information to provide our Service, including order updates and customer verification status.

3.3 Legal Requirements

3.4 Business Transfers

Merchant account data is retained while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after termination
Customer room photos are retained for 90 days after analysis, then automatically deleted
Conversation data is retained only as long as necessary for customer support, dispute resolution, and service improvement purposes
Billing records are retained as required by law

Encryption of sensitive data at rest

However, no internet transmission is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Correction

Merchants can access and update their account information through the FitCheck dashboard. End customers can contact their merchant or us at [email protected] to access or correct their information.

6.2 Deletion

You may request deletion of your information by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon app uninstallation, we immediately stop processing Shopify data and delete all associated merchant and customer data within 30 days, unless legally required to retain it.

6.3 Opt-Out

End customers can opt out of WhatsApp communications at any time by replying "STOP" or by contacting the merchant. Opt-out requests are honored immediately. Merchants can opt out of marketing emails through their account settings.

6.4 Human Assistance

End customers can request human assistance at any time during WhatsApp interactions or by contacting the merchant directly.

6.5 Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may limit functionality of the Service.

7. International Data Transfers

Fouita is based in Tunisia. We may host, transfer, and process data, including personal information, in Tunisia and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. We use appropriate safeguards, including contractual and technical measures, to protect transferred data.

8. Children's Privacy

FitCheck and WhatsApp interactions are intended only for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect or process personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.
